Still part of our Utah visit... the Corbin side of the family

Meet my Aunt Becca. She is like a second mom to me. She is my dad's sister and she lives in Utah. Her oldest daughter is Kristin (aka Kris) andshe is one of my favorite people in the whole world and one of my BFF's..

All throughout college I would visit and eat dinner at my Aunt Becca's house. Oh... how I miss the days. They had a blast meeing Zoe and she in turn... loved them. She went to them with ease and loved playing at thier house.

Audrey (dark blue shirt) another favorite cous of mine..and at the other end of the pic is another favorite Auntie... Aunt Camille my dad's sister too. It was so awesome to see everyone and such a treat to get everyone together. Lindsey (dark hair) is Aunt Camille's daughter...another cousin of mine... I just love her too.

Visiting in Utah-The Pollei side

Taylor has a huge test coming up in the next two weeks, so in order for him to get the most out of his studying time... Zoe and I came to visit family for a few weeks. Our first stop was Utah. We visited Taylor's side of the family where we got to see Grandmas and Grandpas and Great Grandmas and Grandpas, aunts and one of her cousins. We had a lot of fun with everyone.

This is Grandma and Grandpa Pollei (Taylor's Mom and Dad). Zoe loves grandma and she especially loves her nail polish bottles. There were lots of toys for her to play with at grandma's house, and grandpa...well he's just so silly and loads of fun.

This is Aunt Abbie and cousin Tienna (Taylor's younger sister). Tienna is two months older than Zoe, and they are both crawling around and exploring the new enviornment. Tienna lives in Arizona because her daddy goes to medical school there. It was a rare occasion for both of them to be in Utah and for them to see each other. They loved it and had a lot of fun getting to know each other.

This is Aunt Jessie (Taylor's baby sister)... Zoe had a lot of fun with her, and she loved Jessie's red hair. If you ask me... I see a little family resemblence.

This is Great Grandma and Grandpa Moffatt. (Becky's side of the family.) We had some fun letting Zoe get to know all of her grandparents... She doesn't let many people hold her, but she did great with grandma Moffatt--she sure loves her.

Zoe's favorite past time.... gettting into Grandma's DVDs.... Grandma was a good sport and let Zoe organize and re-organzie them over and over and over again. Also....meet Hinkley... thier fake dog... surprisingly she did not seem to mind him.

This is Great Grandma and Grandpa Pollei (Steve's side of the family). She loved them too. We had a lot of fun at thier house Zoe had a special place in her heart for Papa she would go to him and not cry... it was awesome.

And finally...Great Grandma Pollei's yummy strawberry shortcake. This is literally the best shortcake ever. I'm posting it to make Taylor jealous... too bad he didn't get to have any... good studying babe!!

Lovin' you is sweeter!

When I was pregnant I was able to meet this amazing photographer named Joy Moody. She took my belly shots when I was pregnant (which by the way were amazing too). We asked her to come back and get pictures when our baby was born. She is so talented and we couldn't thank her enough for everything that she has done.

Thanks Joy for capturing these timeless moments- we will forever remember them now. You are so awesome, extraordinary, amazing, and unbelievably talented... THANK YOU --THANK YOU --- THANK YOU!

Click on the link next to this post to see her blog (JOY MOODY PHOTOGRAPHY), our pictures and the slide show are on it-- it links you directly to our photos... it's hilarious. Thanks again Joy- we love you!!

More of Zoe...

Bath time and after bath time!! Her new favorite thing (well she's been doing it for a while now) is clapping her hands. She does this pretty much every few seconds. Everything is " Yeah!!" and ok... "Yeah"!!! She gets such a kick out of it. Not to mention that she's also figured out how to pull herself up onto anything that is within reach. She wants to stand constantly and hasn't quite figured out that once she gets up, there's really only one way down and that usually ends with a big... oops!!

Yeah Dad!

So Taylor just got his evaluations back from his last rotation (12 weeks in Internal Medicine) and I got to read it. Unfortunately he won't let me put it on the blog because he's too modest-- but I'm not. I just have to say that I am very proud of him for all his hard work and dedication to his school work and career. The eval written by this particular doctor was so awesome. Although Taylor won't let me put the entire qoute in, I just have to squeeze in one little line:

"Taylor is an extraordinary student, whose confidence is unmatched, he is easily the pick of the medical students I have had the chance to interact with in the last several years."

Way to go Taylor-- that doctor is right- you are an amazing student -- but not to mention --an amazing father and husband as well. Zoe and I are truly blessed and lucky to have such a hard working and excellent man in our lives. Taylor earned another Honors for this year's rotations--- Go Taylor!!!

Fun and the park....

Sorry it's taken me so long to add new pictures. We have been so busy in the Pollei House. Here are some pictures of our first time with Zoe at the park. She loved the swing and playing on all the cool big toys. She's so funny and has such the personality. More pictures are to come.

Update: Taylor is weeks away from finishing his third year in Medical School. He is doing is Surgery Rotation right now and loving it, but not the hours. However, he knows that goes with the territory and is ready to take on that challenge. He's decided to try and go into Ear, Nose and Throat Surgery (aka ENT). He will be applying for residency programs in the next few months in ENT residencies through out the country. He just got accepted to do an "away rotation" in Arizona, which means that he will be working in their ENT program for 4 weeks- side by side - with doctors who will ultimately decide whether or not he would be a good fit for thier 6 year residency program. So it's sorta like an interview for 4 weeks long. He is also trying to get other away rotations to test the waters in those programs. We are so proud of him and can't wait for him to move forward with his career.

Zoe and I have so much fun together. We go shopping, to lunch, playdates and cook together. As you can see in the pictures she looks like Daddy but has a thing for kissing mommy (more like attacking mommy) but has just as big of a crush on her daddy. She gets soo excited to see him when he comes home at night and she will actually go to him over me a lot more now. We love living in Philly and are taking everyday as a gift until we have to leave.
